you can wear either with a skirt, you can wear whatever panties that you feel comfortable, if they are tight skirts then if wearing knickers a vpl will be more noticeable whereas a thong won’t be, with denim skirts wear what ever you feel most comfortable wearing,
if you don’t mind showing a vpl then wear knickers otherwise thong or g-string will help to reduce a vpl
